There Will be Mountains

‘There Will Be Mountains' is an simple arcade style game for touch and gamepad devices. The player moves around on a planet, terraforming the planet on its path. Erupting mountains have to be evaded which will increase in numbers further in the game.

The game was made at the Brains Eden Gamesjam in Cambridge UK. The goal was to make a game in 48 hous about the given theme 'mountains'. We used Unity for this, and participated in the extra challenge of also developing for mobile. This added some performance limitations to the game, which we nicely anticipated and allowed the artists to make content that was lightweight enough for the game to run on a low end tablet at 30 fps.
